Luis Avila

Luis brings a myriad of professional experience to his teaching, having started his career as a child actor in the National Tour of The King and I.  Most recently he was seen as Boq in the 1st National Tour of WICKED The Musical, performing to sold out audiences across the United States.  Through his experience as a professional actor Luis has gained insight on what it takes to thrive not only as a vocalist but also as an artist.  Luis was fortunate enough to have  been part of the Speech Level Singing organization, where he had the rare opportunity to study with Seth Riggs, quite arguably the most successful voice teacher in the world.  With Mr. Riggs' guidance, Luis was able to learn the vocal pedagogy created by Mr. Riggs, investing in countless hours of study and teaching observation.  Luis has been on faculty at the famed Orange County School of The Arts (OCSA), American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA), and the Speech Level Singing International summer vocal program, working with a wide variety of ages and abilities.  Luis is a current member of SAG-AFTRA and AEA.
